Default Armors in the Anet Store?

Anet is turning GW1 into pay for perks, so can we start looking forward to new armor options that can be bought with real money?

I'm probably not going to buy them at this point, but I think there are people who would.

There's a time when I might have bought such a thing, but I don't play GW nearly enough for that sort of thing anymore.

While I wouldn't say it's impossible, ANet has been very good at drawing the line at "more of what you already have". Aside from the GotY bonus pack, everything in the store is basically giving you more of what is already available, not things that are money exclusive.

Unless it is unlocked like skills, upgrades, heroes, /bonus and pets, I don't want anything.

I ONLY like pay once. I HATE micropayments.

Mithran, I generally don't like micropayments as well however I can't see Anet not going in that direction right now. The stylist and extra storage were a step in that direction and I don't see them going back to how they did it before.

It is a question for concern tbh.

i mean half these anet updates that just happened have been suggested in this forum but everyone says won't happen Gw2 around the corner not enough people working on gw1, were wrong. So anet decides to do it only becuase it can make them a profit. How many more ideas from this forum will be added to ingame store? o.o

I wouldn't even suggest this type of thread as it give the developers ideas we don't need to deal with. If they were to put gear on the market, we'll be seeing exclusive items we can't obtain through any other means.

Nononoonono, they should step back from this crap asap. Selling content in tiny and overpriced packages is a complete 180* turn from the original vision.

Paying real money for something that can be bought with in game gold is bad. That is what makes the currently existing microtransactions different from this suggestion.

Microtransactions have ALWAYS existed in the GW store.

Skill packs.
PvP unlock packs.

I don't understand how suddenly this new update is all that different. Why is there such a big outrage? Many of the features we have wanted for a long time are finally here. Many of them are purely optional, and aren't needed at all if you take your time with character creation.

I know you are being sarcastic a bit with the armor unlock, but seriously, this is nothing like a microtransaction game. Those games offer exclusive things in their in game store that make paying characters straight up more powerful.

As for skill balances being delayed, whine more. The problem is with players being stubborn and uncreative with build design, not a.net.
